Also, make certain you are using the correct antenna connection. I owned tow of these at one time but got rid of them as I never used them since they do not have single-sideband.

Fortunately I have several rigs with SSB but it was very strange that Icom left that feature out when they designed the R100. I see that there is a modification now to add SSB but at this point I have better radios to do that. Thanks for the reminder about the antenna inputs. Couldn’t hear nothing on the CB bands this morning because I had my antenna connected to the VHF/UHF port. Fortunately the radio has been alive and kicking for the past 18 hours after cleaning another connector on the bottom side of the circuit board. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
