Using A Icom Radio For A Zello Stream

Good afternoon:

I have been interested in putting together a Zello link with the use of an Icom radio. The only thing the radio has is a speaker jack in the rear of the radio. I have purchased a R1 blue box and the current cords with it are for a Motorola radio.

My question is this. Can I just use the two pins, speaker and ground, or do I need a mic plug for it to work? I don't want to transmit, I just want to listen on my phone.

I was thinking this is the easiest, but not sure if it will work.
