i recently purchased the 346xt and am having trouble getting an acceptable scan from it.
before i get flamed, i have already used FreeScan and have a premium membership w/ RR and have downloaded all the freqs that i want to use AND have "consulted" the crappy web-wiki that Uniden passes off as a manual.
all that being said, is there a way that i can "group" (i'll use quotes in case i'm misusing terms) conventional and trunked freqs for scanning? for example can i listen to the conventional PD/FD freqs south of Boston but also scan the analog MSP in a single grouping? if not, how can i make a "group" that can include said PF/FD freqs under say 1 and scan that, then put MSP under 2 and scan that etc.?
also, w/o locking them out or deleting them manually or via FreeScan, can i have the default PS freqs that are included not scan? don't really need to listen to Chicago or LA at this point (or even the Boston ones since i've downloaded a much more complete list via RR) but i don't want to eliminate them entirely for when i travel.
i have a Yaesu VX8DR that i use for Ham and it also scans well on the B band. but i was looking to add more and have the ability to scan trunked systems.
i hope someone can help w/ the aforementioned questions, otherwise, as much as it seems more than capable, it's going back.
thanks in advance
