Hello All,

I recently purchased a RH96 and then realized that it was not directly compatible with the 996p2. A friend of mine showed me a box with some sort of PCB made to adapt the remote cable that comes out of the 996p2 to the input cable of the RH96. Any ideas on how to do this or any commercial available solutions? Thanks in advanced.

A search on RR shows this thread that gets deeply into the way to do it:
It would be good to look through the multi pages as a quick look shows improvements as the thread progresses. The dead link is fixed a page or two in

… so, I’ve got one RH96 sitting in storage since they came out. It worked fine when paired up with the original intended scanner but I moved on to newer scanners. (I remember the disappointment when I learned they weren’t going to support it going forward, the used price suffering because it was discontinued due to it being too expensive, which caused me to toss it into storage, out of sight so I might forget what a poor investment it was!) But now, with the newfound interest, I should put it up for sale. I need to research the current pricing now that it’s a viable piece of equipment again. I haven’t any idea if it still would work (I no longer have the scanner I used it with to test it out) and if I were to sell it I would need to sell it “as is”… a buyer beware warning attached. As I stated, it worked fine until I replaced the scanner and had no need for it. But don’t get your hopes up… I’m not digging it out unless there is a serious interest. Right now I’m thinking $200 cash-and-carry to a local buyer. I am in central Connecticut if anyone is interested.
