Is anyone here doing this successfully, such as a PC emulator software, etc? Do the USB to serial adaptors work with a Mac?

I ask, because we are considering converting from PC to Mac in the near future and I want to be able to use this excellent scanning software.

If not, I'll have to save my old PC laptop and devote it to scanner use only.

I would save the old laptop. Even if WIN97 were to work with VirtualPC, which I have yet to try, it'll be SLOOOWWWWWWWW...

Plus, the old laptop might come in handy in the future for running some other software that is only available in DOS or Windows versions. (Trunker, Pro96Com, etc.)

PC Emulator on a Mac

I'm using Virtual PC with Windows 2000 Pro on a Mac with OS 10.3.9 and the Radio Shack USB to Serial Converter. I'm using the Butel ARC250785 software, however so I can't speak about your software. Just wanted you to know it can be done. There's another thread somewhere on here about the subject but I don't remember where. I posted a message and some folks responded with their help.
