Baofeng UV-82 Issues

Would anyone happen to know what could cause a UV-82 to have distorted / choppy audio on the uhf and vhf frequencies, but not on FM Radio?

It doesn't really completely go in and out. It just is very choppy. It gets worse when I move the radio certain ways (such as sideways or flat).

I don't believe its a reception issue. I am near the WX Tower, and the sheriff and ems towers (Pineville, KY is a very small town).

Well, actually not solved per-se, but once you know what it is, you might be able to live with it. The radio is not malfunctioning. The sdr part of it controlling the rf-gain is rapidly changing, which is much more active as your strong signal changes as you move / wave. The weaker signals...
