dmchalmers, at this point I think you need to provide some solid positive evidence that there is indeed an MPT-1327 system operating on that tower, because it's your word against everyone else's on this point. I doubt you will make headway on your quest before everyone is on the same page on this question.

What are you basing this assertion on? Secondhand reports? A database entry? A news article? Documentation from the utility provider?

Well, there's this page that was last updated in 2019, which lists Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative using an MPT-1327 system, along with a big banner that says "This system is deprecated, and may no longer be in use or is superseded by another system" and another note that say " Being reported that the power co.'s are using the MPSCS now."

So, what that tells me is that Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative did, at one time, run an MPT-1327 system, but sometime in the last 6 years moved to the Project 25 Phase II system that MPSCS runs. I don't think the radio system you're looking for has existed for years.

Searched this tower endlessly all thru spring historic ice storm an nothing on MPSCS, ALSO talked with power co workers that also said they have a system others including their families can't get on a scanner????? Hmmmmm

So then provide some current recordings of transmissions on this MPT-1327 system. Y'know, some actual evidence, not a bunch of unverified he said, she said nonsense.

My local Electric&gas Co op just in the last few yrs switched to 800mhz MPT1327

P I E & G is also a electric& gas co op in northern Mi, not just Ca.

IC-20 has alot of his facts wrong, PIE&G in michigan is using MTP 1327 and is a co op.

Again there is a PIE&G in northern Mi using the PMSCS Atlanta 2 tower in this DB 800mhz using MTP-1327 its not Ca as other tell me.

Sorry to offend but yes there is a Pie&g Co op In northern mi 1-800-423-6634 call the # your all experts but don't know the facts so call us newbes stupid ! Do your Homework!

This has nothing to do with CA look up P I e & G onaway michigan 800 mhz on the Atlana 2 tower of MPSCS in this db.

PIE&g has been using piggy back on Atlanta 2 since going 800mhz MTP 1327 previous repoters have said same

PIE&G electric co-op in northern Mi is using MTP- 1327 an i asked if anyone usig a SDR has listened too!

Seriously dude, looks like you are the only one that needs to do some homework. Sounds like your not even sure of the correct company. All Wolverine Power does is supply power to PIE & G.

Either post the freqs you hear mpt 1327 on, post received audio, or just something factual.

Are you sure they're not using an encrypted talk group on the MPSCS OP25PII system? I'm not sure why a power utility would want an encrypted talkgroup, but that might explain why you've never been able to pick anything up and why employees' families wouldn't be able to listen with scanners.

Since you still can’t post or refuse to post anything factual to back up your claim, then yeah, might be best to not bring it up again.

Factual proof can include,
active freqs transmitting
talk group id
screenshot of activity

Thank you I would message someone but as a NOT PAID member thats not possible! I bought this v4 an did all the reccommended B.S to download SDR 30 days + later an this paperweight was a waste. I had a friend who's into SDR an its good.
