Hello All:

VIPER - Bolivia Tower Silent?

I have all of my radios (all Phase 2) programmed on the VIPER system using the Bolivia Tower frequencies as that is the best site for my location. All was working well until maybe a week ago. Now dead silence? Was hoping to see if any other members here have experienced the same issue, or if anybody knows whether that Tower is either down or having issues. If this has alreday been discussed elsewhere, my apologies.

Thanks!

P.S. When using the Southport Tower, all radios work as expected. However it is not optimum reception for my area.

I am not in the area so I cannot investigate for myself, but it should be pretty easy for you to check if that site is down or simply switched frequencies. Just scan through the 7/800 MHz band and look for a control channel with the appropriate site ID. If you do not see a control channel broadcasting that tower's site ID, there is a good chance it is offline. However, if you find a new control channel, great! Just reprogram that site accordingly and submit an update to the DB.
