viper in halifax co.

I go to Lake Gaston on the weekends, and can pick up the viper control ch. out of Halifax co. However I never hear any traffic on that site. Does anyone else hear anything on this site? If so what? Also are there any other freqs to listen to at Lake Gaston other than Warren Co. Halifax Co or VSP?

It is like that right now here in Catawba County with the VIPER site.

I am guessing that nobody has 800MHz radios.

Viper in Halifax Co

It will probably be that way for a while.

County and City budgets are being reduced, and with the cost of the Motorola Portables at roughly $4,500.00 a piece not many governments are willing to invest that kind of money right now.

The last I heard was the viper statewide system is not getting the funding, as the state thought it would.

Just a thought!!
