I have 3 scanners running ProScan that run 24/7. SDS200, 536 and a 780 and have not a problem till now. For some reason I can now longer see the Virtual Display on my 2nd monitor or anywhere since Saturday. The editor shows when I open ProScan but that's all. I tried my laptop with a SDS100 and no problem. I undid latest Win 11 update and no luck. Reinstalled ProScan didn't help ether

Is it just one scanner and one instance of ProScan doing it.
Did you power cycle the scanner? If still not working then check the cable and reseat the connectors.

3 scanners. 200 is wifi. 536 is wifi dongle. 780 is old plug with the screws. 3 scanners have their own folders. 1 instance of ProScan

I would try my 200 on the laptop but I deactivated the code and tried that on the PC and now both are now tied up on the PC

Can you move it or close it by hitting the X? There may be another window blocking it.
Can you drag the mouse over the ProScan icon in the Task Bar and see if there are two windows. If so, click the other one to bring it into view.
You can also try right clicking the ProScan Icon then click on Close Window

Can you drag the mouse over the picture that looks like the main screen then click on it.
You may also want to try Alt-Tab and keep tabbing into you get to the ProScan windows,

I got it running somewhat. Virtual and Editor both work. I copied an old ProScan program off my laptop to a thumb drive. Opened it up on my PC. Changed Scanner type and ComPort for each instance (3). The problem is the version I copied is 20.7. I decline the update when prompted and it works. If I update to 23.4 it only gives me the editor and not Virtual.

I think you are installing ProScan versions in different folders so the options(including window state, sizes, and locations) are not the same. It could have been the main window was minimized to the Taskbar or Notification Area. If you had sent me an email initially, I would have asked for the config file and see exactly where the problem is or was.

{EDIT}
I think when you copied an older version, the config (ProScan.cfg) file copied too so the options will be different. So If before, the window state is normal and the last version, it is minimized, coping the config file will make it normal.

All is good now. Thanks for the help. I ended up wiping Win 11 again and reinstalling everything. This time started with a clean slate. Editor and Virtual Display are playing nice now all in their own folders, which they always were
