Am wondering if anybody is monitoring the system below, whose info was updated this past spring:

Virginia International Terminals Trunking System, Various, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies (radioreference.com)

My recent observations are somewhat different. I'm hearing 935.25, 935.6375 and 937.500 used in what appear to be a conventional way, possibly at VIG, NIT and NNMT respectively. They are DMR mode and slots 1 & 2 on each frequency appear to generate TG's 890001 and 890010 respectively.

Other frequencies listed for this system are 935.500 & 935.650 on which I'm hearing analog voice with the addition of 935.925 and the conversation seems to move from freq to freq. TRX-1 gets no information off the signals, so I'm wondering if it's possibly LTR Passport. Am only hearing this in the vicinity of PMT, and haven't determined the nature of the traffic. Am also hearing analog audio on 936.500 in the same geographic area but not sure if it's tied to the other 3 analog freqs. Have also gotten what appear to be analog hits on 936.000 but too brief to say for sure.

Anybody checked these out lately?

Hmmm.... Analog, eh? If i remember sometime between now and Sunday I'll program the freqs you heard analog traffic and see what I can hear. Being in PPCY and VIG and NIT I see people with what appears to be DMR radios but who knows? Haven't tried because my '106 of course does not do DMR and my DMR HT doesn't do 900 MHz.

The only port related traffic I hear is Port Police on ORION.

Didn't realize port police were on ORION. I hear them on STARS.

Other than the freqs I mentioned in the original post, I haven't heard anything else that's listed for the networked conventional system, but will have to make sure and add them in. Maybe they carry other 89xxxx series TG's that I'm unaware of. So far, it's mostly 79xxxx radio ID's with a few 71xxxx's sprinkled in--making me think that there may be some interoperability between the CON+ and the 'Networked Conventional' system--maybe in some supervisor radios.

As for the analog stuff, I haven't been able to glean any solid subject matter.

Here's what I've been able to break down about the DMR CON+ setup from recordings and metadata from the TRX:

Virginia International Terminals (Connect Plus) Trunking System, Various, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies (radioreference.com)

It looks like most or all traffic on 81xxxx TG's is on the 'Site 1' freqs (CC1) and radio ID's are 71xxxx - traffic appears to involve ship loading/unloading
Most or all traffic on 82xxxx TG's is on the 'Site 2' freqs (CC2) and radio ID's are 722xxx - traffic appears to involve truck loading/unloading
When I first monitored it in 2017, there were also 86xxxx TG's with 72xxxx radio ID's using 'Site 1' freqs. Heard none of that recently, and can't help but wonder if this involved PMT, which is now somewhere between slow & dead.

But the CON+ site has more frequencies than the license or the database entry would indicate--many brought over from the older Motorola system. For Site 1, I'm observing 936.400, 937.000, 937.4375, 937.8875, 937.9375, 938.400, 939.400, & 939.9625 all with CC1. For Site 2, I'm observing 938.450, 938.4875, 938.9875 & 939.425 all with CC2.

The only way I can see right now to break the system down further is to note which container ship berths are occupied (and which aren't) on any given day monitoring the system. There is a LOT of stuff...

Okay, more analog freqs to report: 935.675, 935.700, 935.725 and 935.750 are all analog. Very weak and don't particularly sound like repeaters--and I've heard nothing so far on what should be the inputs. Didn't hear 935.500 tonight, but 935.65 and 935.925 appears to have the same people. Also found that 935.675, 935.725 & 935.750 seemed to be the same group. Hard to judge 935.700, and nothing heard on 936.500.

Not a lot of ambient noise, either. Stevedore supervisors, maybe? These freqs seem to rotate sometimes, and then be used repeatedly other times. Total mystery to me. Need something to interface the TRX with the computer.
