Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since I've been on, and I suspect my old account was deleted. So I established a new account since I need some feed-back from an experienced community.
I have had a pair of VX-10 (UHF) radios for over 10 years. I had left them un-used for about 4 years and decided to buy new batteries for the pair. The units power-up but they have very inconsistent performance with each other (and with a set of Motorola Distance units). One unit TX only a screech and is very inconsistent.
I am thinking that they probably are only useful for 'parts' on ebay. What feedback can I garner from this audience? As I am no longer able to program the units (No OLD computer) and I cannot find a cloning cable. I have two VX-10 (with the 16-Key keypads/fresh batteries) two light duty speaker-mics (one heavy-duty). Individual chargers (and a dual-desktop charger), both units have stubby antennas (and I have one whip). And a battery extender cable); and a VOX headset for motorcycle helmets Just to show that I've made a modest investment and was wondering.... Repair (or replace)?
Would ebay be a good place to sell them (as is)?
