How do you remove the remote thing from the RF Deck to connect just the head to the RF Deck?

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

So you have a remote mount radio now and are wanting to convert it back to one solid radio? If so what are your plans to do with the deck covers and the cable? I have a VX4000 and am wanting to make it a remote mount!

It has a remote kit on the RF deck right now, I want to just put the display head on it, how do I do that.
I can sell the remote head but I don't have a remote cable if you are still interested.

Send me a pic to scott_mack512@yahoo.com because I'm not understanding how your having a remote mount kit without having a cable to seperate the rf deck from the control head. Send me the pic and I'll see what your talking about and be able to give you details on how to make your radio whole again. As for purchasing the things from you, that will depend if i can return the items I bought to make mine remote mount.
