Hello to everybody on the forum. This is my first post and English is not my native language, so please be patient ;-))
Three radios from different customers came to my bench, all with same problem:
They all use channels without CTCSS or DCS. Problem is squelch. Without signal, RX is muted as it should be. After receiving the call, when carrier is gone, squelch does not mute the RX anymore - noise is present all the time.
I checked with signal generator. With preprogrammed max. squelch level I started to test with a very strong signal. I was continuosly decreasing the level. At 4uV RX muted, but below 0,5uV there was noise again.
I also noticed, that the receiver is not very sensitive, maybe there is a co-relation?
Anyone with similar experience?
Regards
