I just found out JUST NOW that 1480 WKND went back to playing R&B like they were for MANY YEARS!!

Remember "JAMS 9.10", on 9.10AM ? That turned into 93.7FM WZMX ( since they started JUST when 9.10 went off the air ). This was back when I was in middle school lol

Yup, I haven't tuned in to 93.7 since the changeover 10+ years ago

My favorite stations around my area are:

99.1 WPLR - great Rock station Chaz and AJ in the AM !!
96.5 WTIC
95.7 is OK at times
102.9 WRDC FM( parents mostly listen to that, but there is a good tune or 2 on that station I like )
100.5 WRCH ( great to "slow things down" )

100.5 - WRCH is ok also (I loved it when they were both easy listening MANY YEARS AGO)
102.9 - WDRC -- I SURE DO MI$$ 'BIG-D 103'!!
106.9 - WCCC is good (I USED TO LOVE SABASTION IN THE 80s)

KB1JHU - Dee is happy doing the House of hair show from LI, he's got great syndication for it and pretty much plays all those 80s guilty pleasures.

As for CCC, they are really th only station that still does free-form music playing. Yes they have to play a certain couple of songs every two or three hours or so but at least you can call up ask for something and get it played. I'm friends with "Rhino" but he has long since left the station. Many of a good time hanging out with all the guys and gals.

No, they moved studios several years ago. They are in with 1230 out of Manchester, and I believe 910 as well.

WQTQ recently forgot to renew their license, but theyre back, after having to pay the FCC a fine.
Gary is still at WTIC-FM, Does mornings. WTIC-FM is syndicated at night time now (Billy Bush show)
