W10 pc Sound Card Sample Rate & SDRConsole

Meshing a W10 pc with SDRConsole.

Concerned re checking "sample rate".

*Where, please in W10 is the setting for the sample rate the
pc's sound card is using ?

I understand that the sample rate used by the pc should match what the program is using.

*And, similarly, where do i check, please, what the SDRConsole program is using ?

What are the implications if the two don't match ?
What is a good/typical rate ?
