Does anyone know about control frequencies for durham? I found the whole list on Marshall's spreadsheet, but the control frequencies weren't marked. Once I figured out how to put the BCT8 in CConly mode - I think it scans a little quicker.

860.9625 is a control frequency as well. How does this work - how often do they change, and if a channel is not the control frequency at the moment - can it be used for voice? I created another trunked bank, and have been adding controls to it and deleting them, as well as frequencies I've heard voice transmissions on from the other bank. I'm not positive that that's a valid assumption (that just because a channel carries voice today that it might not be carrying control tomorrow.)

I think we may be getting 2 different trunked systems confused :D
My excel spreadsheet above is for the Wake County Smartzone only...it has no Durham 800Mhz info at all...the Durham 800Mhz Info is available via my website at http://trunked.nctrafficman.net ...and I believe Durham just switches between 2 Control Channels so if ya get those 2 then you should be good to go :D
Hope this helps!

Not confused, we're just hijacking your thread. (The durham system is listed on your page.) I believe when it came up before, it was mentioned here that Durham uses (or used at the time) four control channels which rotate. But no one had the control frequencies. I found a frequency on the list of durham freqs that does not appear to be a control channel, but seems to carry only digital (broadband) noise in short bursts. It doesn't sound like 3600 or 9600 baud stuff - much more broadband than that. It didn't seem to be a control channel, nor did it hop around like a talk group.

If it is a chan for non CC digital data then there is a MDS in use.. (Mobile Data System) All part of the abitlity of seamless connectivity provided by Motorola... you get paging, MOSCAD, MDT, as well as voice.

It moved again, as far as I can tell the following are control frequencies for durham:

860.9625, 858.9625, 857.9625, and 854.9625

They were all in the big list, but now you can do CC only trunking. How do we get this logged in the RR database?
