The UHF licenses are mostly distribution centers.

If they are using Motorola CLS, then most probably they are using voice over IP. Walmarts in my area are heavily shielded from outside signals - cell phones work terribly inside the stores. Unmonitorable if it's voice over IP.

Actually I figured out they have way more FRNs than what I posted in post #3. That was just the ones that had applications in the past two years.
Here is the complete list (without links).

Close call and walk around the store with the scanner in your pocket and volume off / 0.

Go into the bathroom toilet stall and sit until you hear traffic - they talk often if it's like any of the stores I go to.

The majority (most around NC I go to and visited some while traveling in Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, South Carolina, and Virginia) use MURS. Most don't use a PL code either

It's childish things like that that makes them go VOIP, etc., besides being illegal.
Ok fine, I edited my comment, and it's not illegal. I use MURS on a daily basis (not the Walmart freq's) legally. As long as your following the laws of MURS your fine

As long as your following the laws of MURS your fine

§95.2725 MURS interference.
MURS station operators must take reasonable precautions to avoid causing harmful interference. This includes monitoring the transmitting frequency for communications in progress before transmitting, and other measures as may be necessary to minimize the potential for causing interference.

From that post, you were indeed causing harmful interference.

Looks like you need to edit another one of your posts instead of trying to justify your actions.

Walmart is going to add two way radio feature to their schedule app soon. There’re really pushing for us to use it. The associates at my store are hesitant to put Walmart stuff on their phones, so I imagine murs will be used for some time

I bet the Schedule App will have all kinds of permissions built into it, like a GPS capture of where you are within a couple inches, open microphone capability so they can hear you with customers or other associates, and it will be accessible even on your off hours without you knowing a thing.

Alll the Wal Mart's in my area use MURS mostly the upper two channels.

The Motorola CLS is analog and don't think it can do voip.

I can pretty much guarantee the gps part, because it will also let us clock in. Without that I’m sure associates will “clock in” at home while playing GTA. I am not real worried about it because I also have byod that lets me use my phone like a stores handheld. I haven’t been fired yet for going to indeed.com, employees place to rant on Reddit, or texts about how I don’t like working here. Besides just about all apps track you hell just having a phone you’re being tracked

Yea Ive been hearing about that for the last few years. The TC70's have a walkie talkie function built in, I mean zebra has that for most of their business enterprise software suite, I dont know why walmart never utilitzed it but then Motorola had a nice side biz supplying the 2070d's to all the stores. but the 2070d's often sucked if you wanted to talk across the supercenter between freezers.

One time I was working pickup and surprised a guy looking down on a scanner presumably trying to find us. I felt really bad for the guy, if thats a highlight of the day. Its just a bunch of *****ing from management and csms that are supposed to be have octopus style arms to deal wityh everything at once. It was entertaining tho listening when it got really bad, but it wasn't pleaseant listening to co-workers getting frustrated

I went to the Laurel, Montana WalMart recently and heard them on 155.910. The reason I was listening to that frequency is it's the Carbon County Sheriff's frequency.
