In one Wal-Mart I worked Code 100 was for any management assistance and in another it was for Loss Prevention assistance, so some stores do use their own variations...

If walmart does not like when someone talks to them, they have a thing called a FCC licence. I'm pretty sure walmart has enough money for that.......

Sounds like a time to program some MURS freqs with P25 :D

I thought it was loss prevention here. I often take the 396 with me and keep it in close call. Heard it once and saw a instance at front door. Think it went something like "code 100 east door white male red coat"

I think I should just throw my radio away.

Or Just reprogram it to listen to the Fire Department.

I think it would be easier to just stop screwing with people while they're working. :confused:

It's bad enough that they work at walmart and are already the butt of every white trash joke on earth, now they got some screwball messing with their in-house radios at work. You're lucky one of them hasn't killed themselves yet.:D

Leave it to Beaver, you FINALLY put that angry little turd to good use! Hey, I didn't know you had it in you, at least you're good for SOMETHING even if it's only Bart Simpson with his Mister Microphone at Wally World. (;->)

Hey, you forgot;
10-1000 Call an ambulance, the manager discovered the Ex Lax brownies I left on his desk.

That gives radio people a bad name.

And radioing false information to the Walmart manager, then bragging about it on a public forum, gives radio people a good name? Sounds like malicious interference -- thankfully you've posted your callsign too!

I don't think messing with the Wal-Mart people is right on the interference stance..

but to go as far as to sympathize with them for where they work is a crock. They chose those jobs, they knew what the pay would be and such.. If they don't like the jobs they have, they can quit and get another one.. So, lets not put guilt on Scanner Pro b/c of this false sense that these "po" Wal-Mart folks can't function in life if some scanner-geek gets on their frequencies and plays around with them. Heck, bet a lot of them got a good laugh out of it anyways.

By the way, whoever was messing with Taco Bell, good job.. I got some major gas from their chili cheese burrito the other night..

Code 1000: "Loss Prevention (recently renamed Asset Protection) agent needs immediate assistance at [N/S/E/W] entrance. Any and all able bodied males requested to respond."

While rarely used, this code is usually paged via intercom or radio if the LP agent is getting his ass beat during a shoplifting apprehension.

I worked my way through college as a Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Manager and on numerous occasions we experienced intentional interference on our 154.5700 and 154.6000 frequencies. It cracked me up every time. Some of the most memorable occasions:

Somebody would cross-band repeat the store with the Taco Bell (UHF) up the street;

Rebroadcast the National Weather Service frequencies;

Call the CSM and report a large green turd on the floor of stall number 3 in the womens washroom;

Complain that the womens tampon dispenser was delivering used tampons;

Crossband repeat us with the nearby Mall Security phone patch and dial gay sex hotlines...

True, What I did was reprogrammed my radio this weekend.

The people at walmart don't get payed enough to deal with it. Mostly the manager I guess makes is about 15 an hour.
