Does anyone know if Washington County is using a TRS or conventional system? They have a license that covers both TRS and conventional repeaters (WQPW721). Any information would be great.

Based on the FCC info, it looks like they have applied for a TRS using those frequencies listed under that call (WQPW721) and it is pending final approval from the FCC. It looks like they were approved for the original batch of frequencies in September, but just earlier this month have added a few more, and that application is pending. And based on the emission designators it appears to be a MOTOTRBO system

It appears that they are currently using the conventional frequencies as they are set up in the DB, but they may be switching to a TRS once approved and the build out is done (although the buildout deadline was in September).

If you're in the area, maybe you can check those frequencies and see, although you won't be able to hear the MOTOTRBO with a regular scanner, you will have to use a DSD to properly listen to the system.

I was surprised to see that on the FCC paper work that they are using 153.770 as the repeater output (FB2). Searching the FCC database 153.770 is mainly used as the input to many systems north of Washington County.

Washington County using MotoTRBO on 153.7700 MHz

Oh, I sure hope they aren't going to use 153.7700 MHz as a repeater output, especially if it is a TRBO System. If they do they are going to create some major interference problems all across our State with the agencies that are using this frequency as their input.

I have to agree that there could be some major interference problems since TRBO is TDMA (2 time slots double the traffic), especially if the system is running GPS on one of the time slots.

They have been using the two site Capacity Plus Mototrbo system now for about 6 months. Their CP system uses a control channel that constantly transmits, changes every 24 hours.

Supposed to add another site in Davisboro soon.
