I am hearing from a reliable source who that the dc fd will be going encrypted in a few weeks.

Any update ? More than a few weeks have passed.. I'm very interested in the term "reliable
source" etc. that many people use. I have looked at over 100 posts this year alone, almost always regarding impending encryption. Only a few have actually taken place as predicted. It seems the
reliable source syndrome lacks real credibility, weather it comes from the chief or your
former brother in law...

Here's a news report from WTTG earlier this evening. DC Fire authorities say it will be happening despite the loss of mutual aid from surrounding jurisdictions.
