sorry to reply with a non answer but does watchung fd use the dmr? i monitor them and don’t recall missing any traffic listening to just the analog uhf repeater

I can corroborate. There has not been an incident yet, big or small, where they take their traffic to DMR. Seems more like an internal admin frequency/TG than a life safety one. I would expect OEM uses DMR for their operations, so there may be merit in determining that.

The real question is does Warren FD use DMR? I see far too many P25 radios out in the wild to validate DMR as an option for them. At least Watchung has the XPR radios to back it up, whether or not it has utilization.

Warren has a DMR repeater on the air. I can confirm that through my contact and DB is accurate. As @mdsxfire posted, I've never heard them on anything other than analog, but saw they(and OEM) have a shared frequency with different slots for the two, but no talkgroup info posted.

wondering if maybe they licensed the DMR pre north plainfield moving to the county TRS as an optional channel if they and north plainfield were operating something bigger and or as a coverage option if they (watchung) ever moved to the TRS being what the system coverage or lack of is up on the mountain
