Weather alert on Pro-83

Has anyone been able to get the weather alert feature to work on their Pro-83? Pressing func + alt seems to do nothing on mine. The only time "ALT" appears on the screen is when I am in "Signal Stalker" mode.

It appears you must be in SVC search on the weather band.

Hit Func + 3 until a weather station comes in.

Then hit Func + ALT.
