GRLevelX Main Page GL Level 3. BUT it is 75 bucks. I'd love to shell that out as the program is very very nice. Maybe one of these day's. It's the only one that I know of that does it.....but it does not meet your requirement for cheap, but you would be getting the most recent RADAR updates.

Note there is a free trial that would get you through the next few days.

While it's not software, it may be something you can easily use at low or even no cost. Some of the local Minneapolis TV stations show to broadcast dedicated weather or radar channels (or have radar mixed with news programs) as part of their DTV signals so all you may need is just a TV that can pick up and decode their local broadcast signals. Chances are that you'll need to pick up this signal from their over-the-air signal and not from a cable TV system however. Plug in an antenna into your DTV's antenna jack and have it scan to find the local broadcasts. The list below is what I see as the radar or weather channels:

2.4 - KTCA "Weather Radar"
5.2 - KSTP (has "Live Radar" at times and news programs at other times)
11.2 - KARE "Weather Now"

Have it, use it, love it... Not only can you see the radar on it but it will overlay watches and warnings and one click of them you get the NWS text of it, plus there is a ton of addons for it, lightning data, APRS stations, spotter tracking, you name it.

I watched that tornado form and go through up there on GRlevel3 it was fairly calm down here at the time, just some bands of rain.

GRLevel3 with the GR MAnual Storm Tracks is an Awesome program I was using this today in my truck during the Oklahoma outbreak. This image here is using the Base Velocity page with the Manual Storm track that gives you estimated time of arrivail of a particular storm cell. Well worth the $75 price tag.

+1 for both Weather Underground and for GRLevel3. GRLevel3 when you want the most detailed radar tools. Although Weather Underground's radar is pretty darn good.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

If you have an "i" device I'd recommend Radarscope. It's fully featured and rocks for $10.
