If you belong to Costco, the Oregon Scientific WMR 100 is a heck of a deal at $150. I think this is the cheapest weather station with a PC interface. I've been using the OSI WMR-968Plus for several years and it has performed very well. Costco has these for $250 if you can stretch your budget.

check out the 1-wire stations.. www.hobby-boards.com has a starter station for $78... about $130 will get it up an running (you must buy interfaces, and calbing)

only downside is, it runs only on a computer.

La Crosse Technology outlet

If you are interested in a weather station by La Crosse, check out their outlet store on line: www.greatbigoutlet.com
I've bought several things from them, and I always buy from the most damaged category (cheapest) . The most damage I've seen on anything I've ordered has been slight damage or discoloration of the outer box.
