I'll check to see if I have the IFX option.Has your 15x got the IFX option? If so try it and see if it removes the music. I was getting music from a nearby strong radio station bleeding through 940MHz where on my 536PT’s BPF are very ill effective. I turned on the IFX option and it completely removed the interfering music. It could be a image.
Is the music playing all the time, or does it come and go?

It's aliensMusic from hell?
The music (regardless of the noise) sounds like some guy with a guitar and a mic doing some awful crapolius.Hearing music on 43.540/43.560
I don't think 43.54 was ever a cordless phone frequency. It's an adjacent channel to a business frequency. Outside a few metropolitan areas, these channels aren't very active anymore, but when cordless phones were popular, 43.52 would have been a very busy frequency, and it would have interfered with the looser specs in consumer electronics.43.54 was a possible cordless phone back in the day... Is there a subcode?
