I have inputed new frequencies on my uniden bearcat scanner and Pro-106. I use the PSRedit software and use the same to my Pro-197. It will not take the new numbers for nothing that I have tried so far. Is this scanner no longer supported or just to old? If anyone can point me into the right direction of this please help.

It would help us to know what frequencies you are talking about. Details, when asking technical questions, are very important.

Are you downloading from the database or entering manually? Are you having the same problem with the 106 and 197? Do you have the cable driver installed? What is currently showing on the scanner display? Please attach your programming file so we can take a look at it. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

The pro 106 is great and the pro 197 is the problem. I input on fav the freq and upload to scanner via psr500 software. Cable driver is installed and as stated this is the only scanner that will not work.

You can just clone from the 106 to the 197. Doesn’t solve the software problem but gets you the result you are after.

Yes but not done with software. Connect cable to each scanners pc/if jack, press Prog then Glob on the source scanner (106), scroll to Clone Send then press Sel.

You still have not answered my question what you see on the scanner display. Does it say something like uP App NONE? Are you using the control channel output on the 197?

Was the 106 programmed by downloading from the database? The 10 frequencies you list are for the new P25 simulcast system which is not in the database yet. The 106 and 197 are capable of P25 Phase 1 only. If the talkgroups are Phase 2 on the new system, your scanners will cease to work.

No I manually inputed via psredit and downloaded to the 106. That same I wore to my uniden with no problems. I then tried to write to my 197 to no avail. I will upload my screenshot when I get home ......it states it is writing to scanner from 0%-100%. Then reboots as normal and even displays Troup County Pub......but never a call as unidens receives all calls.

Did you program the 106 and 197 using the same file? If you see the percentage of the file on the scanner display while uploading, the file should be going to the scanner. Did you turn on the scan lists? Check your squelch setting.
