I have been listening to the West Metro Fire & Wheat Ridge Fire feed for awhile and noticed that the dispatch is very quick and short, most of the time can't even make out what the call was or what units are being sent. I know they have a seperate channel for what they call LOLA Dispatch is very clear and easy to understand. Any possibility of WMFR & WRFD LOLA being added for additonal listening enjoyment. THANKS!!!

I've streamed the dispatch channel before, and crucial fireground transmissions have been skipped over because of it.

Tell you what. I'll add it for a couple of weeks and we'll take a vote here after 2 weeks. Deal?

lazierfan,

Thank you for your reply and provding a GREAT FEED!!!. I understand the problem with radio traffic being walked/skiped over with other dispatch going on. Back when you where providing the LOLA feed it was great to listen to WMFR and hear where the calls and actually understand what the call was and which units being dispatched. I can't remember if was you or maybe someone else, but for awhile back a few years ago someone carried the WMFR feed and that is all it was, Just West Metro (before they dispatched WRFD) no other agencies. It was great, you could hear everything. This is just an Idea, but what about trying the WMFR tac channels along with the other agency channels you carry on one speaker and just have LOLA by it self on the other or vise versa? Or if your scanner has a priority scan maybe put WMFR primary fire Tac channel as the priority channel? Again just some helpful ideas and not sure even it they could work. Or at least be tested out.

Lola is the primary alerting method. The dispatcher call gives the fire fighters a head start while the CAD message is being built and then aired. Lola is also sent over a computer network to the station and put over the in-house system independently of the radio call.

Granted. I hear your pain.
The challenge is that I only have one radio I can commit to the P-25 system and that becomes an either-or decision. I can either have LOLA channel in the scan lineup, and risk missing fireground or med communication to the hospital, or have it locked out (my config before this request), and have human spoken word dispatch.

Add 1107 on the EDACS system to your feed and you'll be set :)

Now that i've been listening to it a bit more closely, 1107 may only be sending out Wheat Ridge FD calls... :\

Is this the same as 37107 on the P25 system if it just does Wheat Ridge or is the DB wrong?

It does occasionally appear on the P25 system as 37107.
