The frequencies shown for the new P25 system are the same frequencies being used for the current EDACS analog system, less 854.3125

This is the only thing I can find on the West Orange New Jersey municipal site doing a search which references 800 MHz trunk radio system p25 digital upgrade...

Yeah I tried that. Just general information about general budget expenditures for this project but no detail whatsoever. Tried to put in bids and contract awards also... Nothing came up, just this:

Systems without talkgroups are not imported into the Sentinel database; you'll have to add it manually.

It will not be in Sentinel until there are confirmed Talk Groups.

Where did you hear this date? That's only 2 weeks away. It seems we would be hearing radio testing with a switchover that close. I set up the system in my SDS200 this morning and did not hear a peep all day.

I cannot guarantee the accuracy of that info..... It's what I was told from a source within the PD. We will see.

P25 control channel is currently active on 853.6625 so I guess they have the hardware in place. I thought someone had mentioned a while ago that NJICS had capacity issues so maybe that was not an option for them.

WOW! If this statement is true... NJICS is a COMPLETE joke of a system!

It sounds like there is some radio testing this morning. TG 105 is showing up. Hearing radios keyed up with just some background noise so far.

Interesting. I am located 50 miles Southeast of West Orange in Sea Bright New Jersey and I am receiving the system. Control channel 854.3375 P25 NAC: 3F2h
