What am I hearing?

Hey everyone,

I was scanning this afternoon and picked up three freqs that I had never heard before...

The freqs are:
460.625Mhz. (I think this is Raleigh PD)
453.800Mhz. (I have no clue)
858.787Mhz. (Possible Police use?)

If anyone can just confirm what freqs these are then that would be GREAT!

460.625Mhz. (I think this is Raleigh PD) Not sure where you are located, but YES, Raleigh PD uses this freq


453.800Mhz. (I have no clue) Probably Chatham County Sheriff, only user of this freq close to Raleigh area

Could use some more info so we can get this info. Hearing Raleigh PD (Just as a kind of perspective thing) does not impress me much since I regularly hear Wake FD from almost 100 miles away.

I know skip isnt usually an issue on UHF, but I just wanted to give other options.

If you could tell us where you are located (town, etc) that will be one good help, especially the traffic that you heard which would point us in a good direction.

Finally, utilize the FCC database ULS option and you can plug a frequency in and search on a radius, statewide, or by county.

460.625Mhz is Raleigh PD Channel 6 (Unit to Unit Southside units 2400, 2500, 2600 # Units)....
