also a USCG Rescue 21 RFF site at

Lat 42.031494
Long -70.05675
Covering Radius__NM_ 27.934424
The happy part is the style of the tower and antennas is different from RCAGs.
Looked a tthe picture in google maps, there is an old castle like tower near it ("Jenny Lind" ), if you click on it, you can see a bunch of pictures for around the tower.

Thanks
Joel
Using photos taken around locations is exactly the sort of thing I've been doing to run down RCAGs, especially near mountain peaks in the west. The "tower" photo I'd disregard as "not an RCAG". I would call the other an RCAG (in front of the radome).

His tower is the USCG Rescue 21 site--I can see the DF array on the top. Streetview in Google will give a good image of it.
Nice... I tried street-view originally, but couldn't get anything close enough (or so I thought) that's why I went for the alternate method.

Thanks
Joel

I am puzzled as to why you had trouble with Sreetview as it took me less than 30 seconds; but I do use Streetview a lot. Also in his orignial photo, I did recognize the tower as a USCG Rescue 21 as I have seen several of those before. Here is one (my photo) in King Geroge Co. that also has a cellular/PCS array. The top, which is the USCG VHF direction finding array like you can see in the North Truro photo. The VHF USCG VHF communications antennas are on the left side. You can also see those in the North Truro photo if you look hard enough. I was surprised to find out that several hams that I know had passed by this for years and never noted the VHF DF array on the top.

While we are at it: Not all RCAG sites look the same. I have seen different sites which antenna arrays that look like each of the three attached here.

nd5y, getting my black circles confused. Buffalo 122.3 is just an RCO. The 2 brain cells were thinking there was an unlisted way to determine an RCAG location on a chart.RCO.jpg
