Where I used to live in MS, they used 10-33 then stated either officer needs assistance (hurry but not emergency) or officer needs help (emergency get there yesterday). As time has progressed, most of the agencies I have monitored now use clearspeak more than codes... So most of them will outright say Officer Needs Help/Assistance. Of course here in AR, they still use ten code a lot. Rarely have I heard any dispatcher say Officer Down, as this causes too much panic, and can make for worse problems along with the original incident. The better systems that involve MCD's will put that kind of info in a message, or priority flash to avoid every officer/agency in the area going nuts.
