What to listen to?

Guys,

I'm going to be in your beautiful state in June for a 7-day Princess cruise from Whittier to Vancouver.

#1 - Any specific sites of the ALMR I should program (making stops at Skagway, Juneau, & Ketchikan).

#2 - I'm going to have my new 396XT by then end of March. Is the ALMR system a P25 system that transmits the band plan over the CC like most of them do here out east, or am I going to have to manually enter the bandplan?

Anything else you guys could suggest that's worth listening to would be great!

#1 - Any specific sites of the ALMR I should program (making stops at Skagway, Juneau, & Ketchikan).

Your best bet is to do a search of the 154.65 to 156.24 range and program what you find because there's no telling exactly which sites you'll be able to receive from where you'll be.

Yes, with the latest scanners you just program the control channel and go!
