where are my listeners

Just out of curiosity, is there a way to see where my listeners are from? If this has been answered before, a kindly pointer to the thread would be nice. I'll keep looking till then. thanks

ve5wil......I have asked this question on the forum before but never could get answer! Maybe there is no way of getting this information? I guess the listeners rather remain anonymous?? If we could only heard what the listeners are saying, maybe we could make some tweeks in our feed to get more interested! Thaks

With the exception of you putting out an alert-worthy event that goes viral and triggers the app listener count notification (which snowballs your listener count with people from around the world), your listeners will always for the very most part be in the area served by the feed. There is no way to "pinpoint" a listener, because the vast majority will be listening on a mobile device, and geolocation of cell carrier's IP addresses is sketchy at best - and usually won't even be close to the general city where the user actually is. Hell even my home IP geolocates to the ISP's home office 100 miles away.

I figured most are from the local area. It would be interesting to know if people from other countries or states/provinces sometimes tune in. I myself tend to spend a couple hours listening to some international feeds , even when nothing noteworthy is happening.

That would be a nice feature. Every once is awhile I will get a PM or email from a listener. Even though most are probably local, I have had them from numerous other states, Australia, Europe and South America.
