Here's my old tank. Not a crystal scanner, but still an oldie. A Bearcat BC300 - the most sensitive receiver I have.

One of the best scanners ever had was a FANON, SCANFARE SCANNER, MODEL M8-HLU 8 channel used from 1987 till it died in 2009 Used it mobile as well as a base. I miss my baby

Regency ACT-R 10H/L/U .. a classic in my opinion as it was an early UHF addition to the Regency line-up.. if your starting a collection then Bearcat III has to be the first one to have. I have over 40 classic crystal scanners and the BC III is by far the true "original classic" of the bunch.
