Which Digital for my area

I live in District 11/Collinsville near St. Louis, Mo. I'm trying to decide which scanner you guys think would be best. I'm liking the Uniden BCD396XT and the local Shack has the Pro-106 for $399.99. Let me know. I'm new to the digital scanners, but I'm had my conventional for awhile. Still don't fully understand the trunking yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

one thing i can say is check to make sure they are not going encrypted. would be a shame to spend allot then hear nothing.

Both will work well for your area. The Uniden has more features, such as fire tone out and GPS compatibility while the PSR500 has slightly better audio and digital decode. Personally I prefer the 396XT but your mileage may vary.
