Which "NEW" Programmign Cable - Pro96

Sorry... I know I'm behind the times on this...

But can anyone please tell me what the RS catalog number is for the "Newest" programing cable for the Pro96 ?

I believe it is a USB cable now instead of the orlder Serial Port cable.

If you have a color preference the RadioShack version as shown is "Orange" and the GRE America version is "Blue". Both ar tecno see-through. +;->

I think I'll pick it up at a RS because the shipping from GRE is WAY high !

I got the cable at a closing RS, and it works great! Far better than the serial one

I have the GRE, The Shipping is the shipping, you bought gas or jet fuel lately?
I like GRE because when you buy from them you are getting it from the source.

EXCELLENT result with above cable and RR Database here on Pro96. "You pays yer money and you makes your choice."

It worked with my XP and I did not have to use the CD that comes with the cable to get it to work. XP did it automatically. I bought from GRE.

Well, I'm running Pro 2000 and have not had any problems. It's completely tranparent after you get the USB port enabled. Recall early problem with port # but it was easily cleared up.
(From recall, which is not what it used to be, Pro 2000 is NT based.... WINDOWS? I know from curtains but not windows...)
