Looking to eliminate noise from power source emitting on the AM Bank. What mix type should I look for <25 MHz? Which mix type for VHF? If I'm looking at Amazon, which product do I need? Thanks

I prefer a fluffy moist yellow cake mix. But you would benefit most from a J or 75 mix ferrite that targets around .5MHz to 10MHz. You would have to research how many turns around a toroid or large bead to be most effective in the AM broadcast band. For VHF like 2m amateur a Laird 28 mix is great and three snap on beads in series is very effective. Or maybe two turns through a 28 mix snap on. 43 mix should also be good for VHF.

Amidon Associates is a good source but not the cheapest. They have charts with frequency ranges and choking impedances. I usually buy surplus Laird 28 mix snap on ferrites off eBay very cheap like 50 for $27 or similar.
