Not necessarily .. there could be many different reasons. One very possible one is allowing them to have sufficient stock to be able to fill purchase demands.

I'm willing to wait if it means they get it right. Waaaayyy to many garble issues with these LSM systems (especially with TDMA) on both the GRE and Uniden products. Hopefully they get it fine tuned.

I find it hard to believe they push back to May just to stock up on supply. It's a scanner, not an iPhone

I would say they are behind some due to the fact they want to release a radio that works as advertised, like the WS 1080, which has been flawless for me from day 1 of receiving it.

What I am expecting is a mobile / base equivalent of my PSR800. Nothing more. Performance / features will be typical GRE / Whistler .. nothing crazy but it will just work well, and why I will buy it.

Those things you describe .. sounds like you need another Uniden

I agree. It will be a PSR-800 in mobile form with the detached head feature. The search will be the ones on that unit's software. No new features this introduction. Maybe a firmware or two down the line some of these purely software types of wants will come along but I think the expectations (and initial product) should be kept to a radio that works as well as the 800 to start.

yes,its a base version of the GRE PSR 800.

I am not familiar with Whistler PSR 800 but as long as it is pre-programmed.
