TURBO## = 22nd ARW McConnell AFB KC135R
FAST## = 394th CTS Whiteman AFB T-38(A?)

For those of you in Kansas and Missouri wondering if YOU too could hear Milcom....the answer is YES if you use a decent outdoor antenna. There is a ton to hear around these parts. Best times to listen is 6am-10pm Mon-Thurs and then during the day on Friday. Will not hear nearly as much on Friday night through Sunday.

Yep, you're absolutely right Gregg. I must have been smoking crack yesterday ;). Thanks for the correction. I shouldn't post until I'm under the influence of caffeine.

The term "Razorback" in this instance may also refer to Razorback Approach/Departure, which is handled by Memphis Center for all incoming/outgoing flights at local NW Arkansas airports (KXNA, KVBT, KROG, etc.). You may hear something like, "Contact Razorback on 126.1."

I think in this case they are referencing the RAZORBACK VOR which is just north of Springdale Arkansas. Very common to hear pilots call out a radial and distance off that VOR.

Yes. that seem to be the scenario. Didn't know there were that many of you around listening to air in this area. Good to know.

From Airnav.com:

Airport Communications
CTAF: 120.8
UNICOM: 122.95
ATIS: 128.25
FORBES GROUND: 121.7 275.8 [0545-2200]
FORBES TOWER: 120.8 340.2 236.6 [0545-2200]
ANG OPS: 286.5 190th ARW KSANG WYLIE CONTROL
NG OPS: 304.6
ARNG OPS: 41.7 1-108th Av 2 Batt 135th Av
MILLION AIR: 129.85

Not sure if both 304.6 and 41.7 are used by same group. Listed as ARNG and NG.
I have never confirmed a air /air for the 190th ARW Tankers. Anyone else?

FWIW all the B-2's are dashing back home once the cells cleared the base. Reaper 11,21,22,23 flights all trying to get down.

Folks FYI Only

Please see "updated" USAF Air Refueling Tracks (PDF) I just posted the Military Monitoring Forum a few minutes ago, as appears a few "changes" in a couple of AR areas....

Guy's you are missing the chance of a life to set up a monitoring group in your area.
Call it the Mid-West Monitoring Group or whatever.
This can best be accomplished if someone would set up a internal e-mail list for those that have posted to this thread.
Once this is done you can traded info within the group with out every Tom, Dick and Harry jumping in from out of your area.
The ARTCC list on RR is probably as good as any list on the internet.

I agree. There is a large amount of traffic around here and it's a surprisingly good location for milair monitoring.

The E6 TACAMOs and ACC headquarters are up at Offut, the NAOC E4s are down at Tinker, the B2s are to the East just over the line in Missouri and Smoky hill bombing range is West over near Salina.

The KC area is right in the center of it all.

Right now I'm getting an E6 blazing a WBFM signal on 338.950 as it travels South between Manhattan and Topeka.
