Back in the day, I sometimes listened to 5 scanner's,2 fire pager's,a vhf and uhf handheld. I was a communication's operator with a pd,and paged for a pager notification service. Today, after retirement, and no pager service, I have cut down to a phone for my counties Broadcastfy <fire-rescue only> police is encrypted. I use a bc898t for civil/milair, select v/u frequencies. I am leaning toward's a sds-100. I am not always happy with the limitation's of Broadcastfy. My surrounding counties are mostly encrypted. I still have multiple radio's in reserve.

At times I also look at some of my older radios on eBay. The only one I really regret selling is my Alinco DJX10 and Uniden UBC3300XLT.
