Why So Slow?

Slower than molasses in January comes to mind.

Don't talk server load, traffic, etc. since we've all heard how new servers were brought on-line and optimized and other things done to handle peak events.

Sometimes it'll work for a few minutes, then bog down again. I'm also seeing double posts indicating others are having problems.

I've noticed the slowness over the last few days as well. The pages do take longer than usual to load...

At the moment for me I'm not noticing anything significant. Since resources are shared sometimes more are put toward Broadcastify for the feeds when it experiences high loads.

I noticed as soon as the Boston streaming was cut off, website performance improved. Notice I didn't say traffic or server load.

I know there are a lot of Reddit users monitoring the feeds. A lot of times when something gets posted to Reddit, it's like an unintentional DDoS attack.

Last night, when trying to access the forums, it gave a message of something to do with no server being available to handle the request, or something pretty similar to that. I was able to read some on the forums by using the mobile version, but the regular desktop part was down for several hours at least.

I noticed that I couldn't even connect to the server last night starting around maybe 6 PM Eastern time, I don't quite remember.

Error 503 from about 10pm central last night till about 9am central today for the forums, the Database was a sonofabiscut to get into from about 5pm yesterday and I kept getting feed down alerts when the feed was up and running. Seems to be working ok now, but the next terrorist incident better happen in a city with system wide encryption or were doomed ...

Think its a lack of bandwidth issue, not a server issue.

Still getting the error 503 messages servers are too busy, in the forums at least.

I was getting the same thing last night for several hours. Then just now when trying to reply here, I got the 503 error again. Not sure if we're experiencing DoS attacks, huge traffic load or what.

Was the error message I received.
Database was working fine.

I would just liked to been able to listen to my local live feeds here in poo dunk texas.... all I got was constant 504 messages....paid member eg153wftx..... Blanton, how many of the news networks and corrospondents are paying members...
