A public meeting for the Greer Fire will be held this evening at the Round Valley High School Theater at 6:00 PM.

There will be a presentation about current fire conditions and operations.

This event will be hosted by the Incident Management and will have representatives from Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, U.S. Forest Service – Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests , and local safety officials on hand to answer questions.

THIS EVENT WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE at https://www.youtube.com/@GreerFire2025

They have two NIFC CMD Repeaters up
CMD7 and CMD 8
170.4250 is CMD7 and 170.4125 should be CMD 8, unless there was a NIFC Freq change in the past few years

Where did you get this information? The latest info I have indicated there was no Command 7 and Command 8 was 169.5375, or NC1 in the VHF Incident Response (IR) group of the NIFOG frequencies. 170.4125 is IR 2 or Command 10 in the NIFC Command repeater group. If you have updated info, I would like to know the source so I can make a RR database submission.

I do receive 170.425 in Show Low, but it is weak and sometimes hard to understand what is being said. It is clearly Greer Fire related.

past 205's (AZ Fires) and NO DATA should be submitted to the DB unless actually heard/confirmed OTA (Over the Air) so many typos in 205's and other documents.

and the current (at that time) AirOps showed two repeater sites

CMD 7 at 34 06.680N / 109 34.461W
CMD 8 at 33 51.729N / 109 23.446W

Today only CMD 7 is listed

Did Command 7 & 8 get labeled that way because they were in Channels 7 & 8 of the channel plan? In that case it isn't because a particular frequency is Command 7 or 8 in the NIFC system, they label them that way because field units refer to the channel they tune their radio to. They may have NIFC Tac 2 (168.2000) in Channel 4 of the comm plan and will call it Tac 4, even though it is NIFC Tac 2.

You will have to ask the IC or COM-L that question - many of us can tell you it is/was labeled as CMD 7 and the other as CMD 8
what channel # ? No idea
