OH MY ... I sent this in an email to Don Starr at win500 but got it back . Here is my problem in length .
I had a GRE PSR500 and programmed it with the WIN500 software ..worked fine ...till about 4 mths ago when I noticed it was NOT hearing objects I had been hearing for all the yrs I owned it . But I also had a battery issue with the psr 500 and now IT IS being used now exclusively in the house now .....so I bought a new Whistler WS1040 I programmed it with WIN500 and it too is NOT hearing what I had heard 4 plus mths back.
In my research on RR.com I noticed that the MPSCS list (I live in MICHIGAN) had changed . Where in the past (as recently as last summer ,2017), I had TOWERS with control frequencies and alternate freqs. that I entered into the WIN500(each tower site was then numbered IE 112 120 130 etc)) . BUT recently I also noticed that NOW ... there seems to be 1 tower per small area listed, that tower has NEIGHBOR SITES that are numbered ,no location (what maybe is the OLDER previously listed tower sites I used ). Seems to look as though mpscs took the most elevated site and it functions via the other neighbor towers in its area . Each main site is about a 20 mile radius as noted on RR.com . And they are now simply numbered 1 thru 5 if memory serves me correctly . HHHMMMMM now with looking at the RR.com mpscs info ...the TOWERS listed with 1 thru 5 now have a HEX and a DEC number associated to that tower and NOT control/Alt freqs ...the neighbor sites are just a number (IE 420 312 265 , etc no control/alt freqs)...... in the past the talk group I programmed had a hex and dec(and still does) , the TOWER sites ,back then ,all had freqs listed (so this really shortened the list now ) ?????? In the WIN500 program (yes mine is the latest v2.08) I see the system list where my control/alt freqs go ..... BUT WHAT about the new HEX DEC numbers for those TOWERS ? Where do those need to go ?
