I imported a lot of conventional frequencies from this site into Win500. They all went into Scan List #1. Now I am trying to move some of them into different Scan Lists and have been unable to do so. I tried copying a frequency entry, changing to a different Scan List number, and pasting it. It ends up getting added to the bottom of the original Scan List.

I clicked Help on the top-line menu of Win500 and it directed me here, where a search for "scan list" turned up no information that I am looking for. It seems ridiculous that a program the you have to pay for doesn't even include help files. I notice a lot of various check boxes and settings that I have no idea of their function, so this will probably be only the first of many problems I will end up having with Win500. Too bad. My previous Win95 and Win97 programs seems a lot more intuitive in nature.

Anyway, enough of my rant. I hope someone knows how to solve my current issue. Thanks in advance.

Look at Win500 from Utah Radio.

Look at marksscanners.com's "Easier to Read . . . "

From the description of your problem it sounds to me as though you need to select the CONV Objects tab in Win500 and look at your column headings. If you don't see a column headed Scan List Map you need to add that column by right-clicking IN the column headings and choosing "Add Column" — it should be easy and intuitive from there.

Moving Items

If you have the scanner on, winn 500 up and running and you're watching the scanner on the computer doing it's thing, Hit the stop button on Winn 500 program. Now go to the CONV Objects tab. If you are going to move more than one item to a different list, hold the ctrl button down and select all items you want to move. The selected will have turned blue. Now go to the right side of the screen under Scan Lists and uncheck scan list 1 and put a check in the scan list you want to move the items to. You can go over to Scan List Map and right click and select Sort on Column Asending and you should see the changes you made. Not done yet. Now go to the top left of the screen that says File,Edit Search,Scanner and Configuration and select Scanner. From the dropdown menu select Upload to Scanner. The program will now be making changes to your scanner. Go back to the monitor/Control tab and hit the Start button. Don't forget to enable the new scan list.
Good Luck

Thanks for the replies.

TES, I already had the Scan List Map column, but had tried editing that, which didn't work.

hightime: Your suggestion worked! Changing the check marks in the Scan Lists box did the trick.

Thanks again for the replies!
