Just received my Pro96 and using win96 to program.I am trying to put the Toronto Public Safety and OPP on the scanner using the software. I notice when using the software it shows the the control channels only as opposed to the data base list which gives control channels and various talk frequencies. When I download to the scanner and go to manual frequencies it only shows the ones which were listed on the win96. Do i enter these manually? I don't seem to be picking anything up. Any help would be appreciated.

You really only need the control channel frequencies... The scanner figures out the voice frequencies on it's own. A few things to note: Make sure you set the bank type to 'MOT' (as well as the control channel frequencies), and for Fleetnet you set the custom trunking tables. See my sticky at the top of the forum for programming a Pro-96 for Fleetnet.

Don't forget to change the bandplan to single table in the settings when putting in the OPP. For some reason it goes to multi and it needs to be single.

I too was under the impression multi tables were required for the Toronto tower. I don't listen to Fleetnet that much while in the GTA so I'm not 100% sure.

yes.. only 40 MOWAT needs to be MULTI-TABLE

i was online with JABBER for over 2 hours last night, sent him my GTA file all worked for him EXCEPT Fleetnet, he couldn't even get a tower to decode to show system or % in manual mode ,

he tried
40- MOWAT
39- KING CITY
37- WHITBY
9- BRITANNIA (MISS)

not any signal on any of their CTL or ALT freqs, & he's in the Black Creek / Weston area (Lawrence & Jane area) and high up in his building, windows face east & west, so he sholud have got something.

i was at a loss to figure out why, when i'm in Toronto it works fine for me.. hope 1 of you local guys can help him out more than i could (i'm in Montreal).

Hope his Mode setting for freq was MO, if not no data will appear in line 4 during manual check if freq is default FM.

I am not picking anything up now, not even in searches. I think I will let Durham have a look at it and see if they can come up with any ideas. Thanks again

Anything on the weather channels? If not, maybe pop the back of the radio and see if the BNC connection has broken loose... Might be a simple fix (hopefully).

both the basic antenna and 800mhz antenna are not made for VHF fleetnet reception... nor will they work well.

id think youd at least get something out of them on fleetnet (10-25%).. maybe try a better or outdoor antenna.. you could meet me and ill hook up a good antenna to it and see

other then that maybe something wrong with the radio.. but its weird the 800mhz stuff works
