I got a new printer for xmas. Now when I try to upload to scanner ( pro-2096). I get Com port already in use. Something change when I put new printer in computer.

The only com port that works is 3 com port 3. But I don,t know where the data is gonig. Its not to my scanner.

Ok, you have a conflict going on between the two devices that are trying to use COM 3 at the same time. Disconnect the printer, then start WIN96 and connect the cable to the scanner. Then re-install the printer and it should find a new COM PORT now since your scanner is now using COM 3
