just to add.... make sure you are up to date on windows updates, if not, it wont let you do anything, also to make programing easier, use the SD card from the scanner, and program it via the computer and not the scanner.

Oh. You are clever fellow. Thanks for that piece of information on the SD card. I like that idea.

I am also having issues. Sounds like the same problem as I have. Click on the icon and it says sentinel is already running. You can only run it once but it never comes up. Tried all the above steps and still nothing.

Do you see the Sentinel icon in the Task Bar? It could be the program is minimizzed. You could always use the Task Manager to kill it then restart Sentinel.
