I have been having problems with the Windows Media Player on my laptop. Sometimes when I try to watch a video I can only here sound but I do not see anything. This is a Vista based machine. I would like to remove the player and then reinstall it. I cannot seem to remove the program. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks in Advance

You can't remove WMP easily, it's part of the core utilities for the OS. Does this occur for all videos you try to play, or for only one? Also I would check your video card drivers.

just grab the CCCP Package. it will solve all your CODEC problems on the spot for WMP and enable extra features and movie formats. or you could get Winamp and CCCP
