We actually get SNOW down here? There are plenty of flakes but I never thought of them as snow.

New Jersey or New York will do for the PIP.

Thus far I have 37.94 by EJM and 156.105 PL 151.4 submitted to me via email.

The NJ side was cleared up up above. The New York side is plowed by NYS DoT Region 8 units out of the West Nyack yard.

For the thruway does the plows talk on the same operations channels for road service and police ?
From Cornwall south to the Westchester / Bronx - Connecticut lines, yes.

Passaic County from the Lat month I lived in NJ was operating on 155.775. I dont know if the State DOT is still operating on the VHF LOW band on 47.36 and 47.14. Someone confirm this please

That is so true they are wizards in cleaning an interstate and in prompt fashion. Bergen Cnty from the last 2 winter's have been awfull. Especially in the Cliffside Park/Fairview area. Used to listen to GSP and they are out like gangbusters before the first flake dropped.

fdnybuff18...

Great observation....

But we should have this every year due to the fact that radio systems change, things get added and deleted and I am sure I am not the only one out there interested in the topic. So nice moderators on the board please leave this thread up, I respectfully say THANK YOU..

By the way some more came in via email this morning ! THANKS Danny !!

It looks like a good day to update Snow Plow and Winter Ops frequencies statewide. Please feel free to post your updates here.

Anyone have updated info on Newark's snow plow channels? Are they using all private contractors now maybe? The channels I have listed (159.105 DCS 271, 158.745 DCS 271, & 156.210) appear to be out of use. Thanks.
